Meet the Doctor

Dr. E. Leon Thompson

Dr. Thompson, a native of Arizona, attended grammar school at St. Matthew's Elementary School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in 1990. He attended medical school at the Western University of Health Sciences in the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He graduated with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. Dr. Thompson completed his residency / internship form 1994 to 1997 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Thompson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has a fellowship from the American College of Osteopathic Internist.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They are especially skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes.
